Go Bold- With Neon!

It wasn’t too long ago that neon fashion was mainly used for walking your dog at night and 80’s theme parties with big crimpy ponytails, but this year neon has made a comeback in a big way! From electric blue dresses to neon yellow shoes, the neon trend is gaining the attention it deserves this spring and summer season, but how do you pull the look off without looking like an 80’s train wreck?

If your not to sure about the neon trend yet, try starting small. Try adding electric blue suede pumps to your go-to little black dress, or switch it up with a bright coral or pink clutch for a night out.

Feeling a bit bolder? Then go for it!  Keep in mind though, unlike the safer trends this spring and summer, this trend can get overwhelming really quickly if overdone. Stay away from over powering neon accessories if your rocking a neon top or bottom, and don’t try to match your neon colors. A yellow neon top with similar yellow shoes and accessories will give off the walking glow stick feel. When in doubt add neutral colors into the outfit to balance the rest of the colors.

Although it’s not the safest trend, don’t be afraid of the neon. Instead embrace your inner 80’s! There are many ways to work the bright colors into your wardrobe. Just keep it fun, carefree, and not overwhelming and you cant go wrong!
